Our Team
Dr. Susan Lan
Dr. Susan Lan is a highly respected physician with advanced training in Functional Medicine and a strong clinical foundation in emergency medicine, family practice, and osteopathy. She earned her medical degree from the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine and is a Certified Practitioner through the Institute for Functional Medicine (IFM). Dr. Lan also holds advanced certifications in peptide therapy from the International Peptide Society and SSRP and is a Certified Gluten-Free Practitioner with a passion for ancestral nutrition and detoxification.
Her journey has taken her from Air Force service at Yokota Air Base in Japan to emergency medicine and later founding Vail Osteopathy, which would grow into what is now InSpero Medical. At age 40, Dr. Lan was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease—a moment that profoundly shifted her perspective and deepened her commitment to uncovering the true root causes of illness. That personal experience ignited her exploration into the most advanced tools in longevity science, detoxification, neuroprotection, and precision medicine.
With deep expertise in root-cause diagnostics, neurological conditions, and peptide science, Dr. Lan brings a rare combination of scientific rigor, lived experience, and unshakable compassion to help others reclaim their health—and their hope.
Kirsten Wechsler
Kirsten Wechsler brings a unique blend of strategic leadership, creative vision, and lived experience to InSpero Medical. A former senior executive at a national marketing firm, she has spent decades making meaningful connections, exceeding expectations, solving complex problems, and teaching others how to lead with clarity, compassion, and heart.
Her own health journey—and the frustration of navigating a fragmented, impersonal system—was the catalyst for co-founding InSpero. What began as a personal need quickly became a professional calling: to build the kind of clinic she wished had existed. A place where medicine is unhurried, personalized, and rooted in relationship. Where patients feel truly seen and supported.
Today, Kirsten leads the operational and creative direction of InSpero, but her presence is equally felt in the day-to-day care of patients. She is hands-on in helping patients feel seen, supported, and understood—advocating for their needs, guiding them through complex logistics, and holding space when it matters most. Her ability to bridge high-level vision with deeply personal connection is part of what makes InSpero not just a clinic, but a place of true healing.
Dr. Tereza Hubkova
MD, ABIM, ABHIM, IFMCP, Medical Director
Dr. Tereza Hubkova is a triple board-certified physician in Internal Medicine, Integrative Medicine, and Functional Medicine. A valedictorian graduate of Charles University in Prague, she later completed her medical training in the U.S. and went on to spend over a decade at the world-renowned Canyon Ranch in Massachusetts, where she cared for clients from around the world and taught physicians the principles of lifestyle and integrative medicine. She is certified in Functional Medicine (IFM), menopause care, and peptide therapy, and has published work in journals including the American Journal of Lifestyle Medicine and the Journal of Healthy Aging.
Driven by deep curiosity and a reverence for the body’s innate intelligence, Dr. Tereza has spent her career exploring the space where science, nature, and spirit meet. Her passion for healing has taken her from international medical conferences to sacred gatherings with Indigenous healers in India and South Dakota—experiences that expanded her view of what’s possible in medicine. She integrates the latest in longevity science, hormone optimization, gut health, detoxification, and mind-body medicine, always seeking the root cause and the most personalized path forward.
At InSpero Medical, Dr. Tereza brings both clinical precision and soulful presence to her patients. She is known for listening deeply, asking thoughtful questions, and helping people reconnect with their own healing capacity. Outside of clinic life, she finds peace in nature—hiking the Colorado mountains, kayaking, and soaking in the beauty of the natural world, which she considers one of our greatest healers.
Erin Wallentine
Erin blends a unique mix of organization, creativity, and heart. With a background in business management, marketing, graphic design, and hospitality, she ensures the clinic runs smoothly while fostering a welcoming environment for both patients and the care team.
Erin plays a key role in shaping the systems and processes that allow the InSpero team to focus fully on what they do best – caring for patients. While much of her work happens behind the scenes, she also connects directly with patients to help guide them through the steps of their journey, making sure they feel supported, informed, and confident in their care.
Outside of the clinic, Erin lives by the same values she brings to her work. She finds balance through travel, yoga, and creative expression, especially working with clay. She loves exploring nature through hiking, paddleboarding, and snowshoeing, and treasures time spent with her family and her dog.
Nadia Schaffino
Nadia has called Eagle County home for over 20 years, bringing warmth, empathy, and a deep sense of purpose to her role as a registered nurse at InSpero Medical. Her path into healthcare began with a simple desire to help others, which led her to earn an Associate of Applied Science in 2018 and, more recently, her nursing degree from Colorado Mountain College.
With seven years of experience, first as a medical assistant in family practice and now as an RN. Nadia is especially drawn to the principles of functional medicine. She believes true healing comes from understanding the why behind illness, empowering patients to take an active role in their health.
Nadia finds meaning in the quiet, personal moments with patients—helping someone overcome a fear of needles, offering calm reassurance, or simply listening with compassion. Her gentle hands and steady presence help create a safe, supportive environment where patients feel seen, heard, and cared for on every step of their wellness journey.
Heidi Bricklin
Heidi is often the first point of connection for patients and the team. She’s the calm in the storm, balancing countless details behind the scenes, while still offering a warm, welcoming presence to every person who walks through the door. Heidi ensures that patients feel supported from their very first interaction, creating a foundation of trust and ease.
Her passion for wellness extends beyond her role at InSpero. A certified yoga instructor, Heidi brings the principles of balance, mindfulness, and grounded energy into her work each day. This background allows her to navigate the constant demands of the clinic with focus and heart, embodying InSpero’s mission of whole-person care.
Outside of the clinic, Heidi finds joy in the simple, meaningful moments – practicing yoga outdoors, exploring the mountain trails of the Vail Valley, and spending time with her family. Whether supporting patients or her own family, Heidi brings a sense of presence and intention to everything she does.
